As a filmmaker, Daniel Miramontes always looks to inspire a range of emotions. As a videographer, Daniel works by dancing with the surrounding environment, focusing on the subtle yet significant features within every event. Doing this, he captures the more extensive picture hidden within the small, as well as the large picture itself. Causing all your memories to rush back to you in every shot and every scene when the final video is complete.

Daniel is a storyteller dedicated to helping people tell their stories in visual form. His style evokes a dreamlike state, though heavily grounded in reality. The films he makes are documentary-style or Cinema Verité, observing the scenes unfolding in front of him and allowing them to flow, as well as combining them with artistic choices for cinematic composition and symbolic expression. Throughout the videos that he creates, there is a sense of life being lived, of motion-captured but never trapped. He presents the world as it is, always in flux and evolving into something new and exciting.


Who Is Daniel Miramontes?

A first-generation Mexican-American and a 200,000th-generation human bring, Daniel grew up in Southern California. He went on to earn a B.A. in Cinema and a B.A in Studio Art at San Francisco State University. After graduation, he produced films across a wide range of genres and collaborated on many international productions. Working in photography for twelve years and in videography for five years, he is a knowledgeable, seasoned professional. His skill set is in mastering, shooting, and editing, taking charge of every step of the creative process from start to finish. His commitment to breathtaking, impactful films is undeniable. At home, he keeps a wall honoring his cat Dr. Parnassus, a sassy white and gray shorthair. When he's not working, you can find him biking around town, eating grilled cheese, and reading books on philosophy.
